Hi! I'm Lindsay - the longarmer behind Arrow Quilting

Although sewing has been something I have done since a teenager, quilting came to me in 2012 when I was looking for a hobby that I could do at home but also (more importantly) something that would connect me with other creative folks.

Nurturing that creative side offered balance to a busy work life.

 

When my first "big" quilt needed more than me at my sewing machine, I found a local longarmer to quilt it for me.  I was enamoured by the whole process and it made me want to be the one to quilt ALL my quilts.

It started my journey with machine rental and I loved it!

In 2020, I took the plunge and purchased my own machine with the plans of "slowly" working towards a paying hobby for "when I retired". Thinking 3 to 5 years down the road. Then, just 8 months later, I dove in head first and retired from a 25 year career in Health Care.

I now run my own longarm machine and provide longarm quilting services for (mostly) the Grande Prairie area, but have now expanded services to mail in quilts.

My Handi Quilter Infinity 26 ("Finn") can handle any size of quilt, from baby to king!

I have now quilted over 350 quilts!

My dedicated studio space, in our home, is smoke free. I am kept company by 3 feline divas, so to reduce any potential curious behaviour, your quilts are safely stored in my studio closet until it's their turn on the machine. They (Mütsi, Libby & Alice) would rather find a sunbeam to nap in while I work anyway.

I really do love all the parts that go into making a quilt, and especially love seeing happy faces when quilts get picked up. Bonus joy is having the hubs interject comments or advice here and there - he has picked up more than the average bear!

 

I would love to help your quilt top get turned into a quilt. After all, a perfect quilt is a finished quilt!
